Let the garden be your muse in this immersive watercolor experience set among the vibrant blooms of Wellfield Botanic Gardens. Join Alexandra Hibshman, local artist and educator, as she returns to the Gardens to teach another workshop! 

You'll begin with a walk through the gardens, soaking in the colors, textures, and shapes of the season’s most stunning flowers. Using your garden stroll as inspiration, you’ll then learn how to translate what you’ve observed into a layered, expressive floral field painting. Alexandra will cover watercolor basics, but focus on building depth, creating texture, and working with vibrant color palettes to bring your botanic scene to life.

All materials are provided. This workshop is intended for ages 13+; minors must be accompanied by an adult. Although the workshop begins with an outdoor stroll, the remainder will take place indoors in the South Event Room. Come ready to explore, observe, and paint in full bloom!

Registration is required; space is limited! Cost is $52 for Wellfield members and $65 for the public. This workshop is non-refundable.
